Initiated on 16th May 1996 in Germany, Carnival of Cultures is now a cosmopolitan festival. Since 22 years, it has been celebrated as a 4-days fest each year at Pentecost, Kreuzberg. In the beginning, only a few carnival fans in Germany showed up for the festival. However, within a period of 2 decades, the number of visitors to this cultural fest has crossed over 1 million.
